Maho Bay, Saint John Live Cam

This fixed camera looks from a forested hillside down to Maho Bay on the northern shore of Saint John. A wooded headland juts into the bay on the left, and low islands stand on the horizon beyond its mouth.

Maho Bay is a wide bay in Virgin Islands National Park, with Cinnamon Bay to the west and Francis Bay to the east. North Shore Road runs along its edge, and the beach on the shore below is mostly screened by trees in this view. A handful of boats sit on the water, including a sailboat with two masts.

The foreground is dense tropical scrub and trees, with a rocky point at the right edge. The frame never moves, so only the clouds, the boats and the color of the water change, from turquoise near the shore to deeper blue offshore. Unlike the Windswept Point view, it looks across the bay from above.
