Dexter Depot, Missouri Live Cam

This camera at the Dexter depot in Missouri looks down a Union Pacific track toward a tall concrete grain elevator. A red railcar on display stands at the left under the depot roof.

The depot houses the Dexter Welcome Center and a local museum, and the rail line past it is the Union Pacific Hoxie Subdivision. Dexter lies in Stoddard County in the Missouri Bootheel, and the town emblem in the corner of the picture carries the founding year 1873.

The wide view shows a single track running straight away through town, with a road crossing and its crossbuck at the right and trees behind the silos. Over the course of the day the camera changes its framing, tilting or zooming, and in one view it fills the picture with the side of a graffiti-covered auto-rack train.
