Cruz Bay Mouth, Gallows Point Live Cam

This fixed camera looks north from the Gallows Point side of Cruz Bay across the bay mouth, where small boats ride at their moorings. Lavender-painted rooftops fill the lower corners of the frame, and a wooded headland closes the view on the right.

Cruz Bay is the main town and ferry port of Saint John. Gallows Point is the peninsula on the south side of the bay, and the land across the mouth lies within Virgin Islands National Park. Beyond the open water a line of low islands rises on the horizon.

The camera sits high on the slope, so it shows a broad panorama rather than the shore. The rooftops and the headland stay in place in every frame, while boats, clouds and the color of the water change. Unlike the harbor camera on the same shore, which faces the ferry dock, this angle looks out toward the open mouth of the bay.
