Cordele Diamond, Georgia Live Cam

A fixed camera at Cordele Railway Park in Georgia looks across a paved yard and two rails toward a tall tower. Gravel piles, a small shed and a row of trees fill the far side of the frame.

The park's train viewing platform stands beside a railroad diamond in downtown Cordele, the Crisp County seat in south-central Georgia. Three lines cross here: CSX's Fitzgerald Subdivision, Norfolk Southern's Macon District and the Heart of Georgia Railroad. The Heart of Georgia line also sees SAM Shortline passenger excursions.

The framing never changes and is wider and lower than the second Cordele camera at the same park. A concrete pad with a drain cover occupies the foreground, white mile posts mark the track bed, and a slim tower rises above the trees with substation equipment beside it.
