St Mawes Harbour, Cornwall Live Cam

This camera overlooks St Mawes Harbour in Cornwall, with the stone quay, a floating pontoon and a curved beach below. Houses and a wooded shore line the far side of the water.

The harbour is the small basin at the heart of the village of St Mawes on the Roseland peninsula. A tall stone quay shelters it, and a small booth on the quay carries a Falmouth Ferry Tickets sign. The car park on the quay fills with cars, vans and walkers heading for the boats, and moored craft dot the open water beyond the quay.

Compared with the bay camera on the same building, this one looks into the harbour itself. The tide changes the scene: at low water the sand spreads around the pontoon and dinghies rest on the beach, while at high water the basin is full. In the foreground the lower road runs along the beach behind a rope rail on granite posts.
