Sandy Ground Beach, Anguilla Live Cam

Coconut palms lean over Sandy Ground beach on Road Bay in Anguilla, where motorboats and yachts lie at anchor in turquoise water. Wooden picnic tables, hammocks and white loungers stand on the sand under red, yellow and green umbrellas.

Sandy Ground is a small village on the north-west coast of Anguilla, a British Overseas Territory, and its harbour on Road Bay is the island's main port. The curved beach is backed by cliffs and Road Salt Pond, the largest enclosed body of water on the island. Stone walls of old saltworks still line the pond. The capital, The Valley, lies about 4 kilometres east.

The camera stands at the northern end of the beach and looks south-west over a terrace with cornhole boards and a giant four-in-a-row game. Houses dot the green ridge of South Hill across the water on the left.
