Padel Indoor Lleida Live Cam

The camera looks down on the indoor courts of a padel club at Lleida, in the west of Catalonia in Spain. Games run on them through most of the day.

Padel is played in doubles on a court about a quarter smaller than a tennis court, walled in glass and wire. The walls are in play: the ball comes off them and stays alive, which makes rallies long and the game easy to pick up and hard to leave.

Spain has more courts than any other country by a wide margin, and the sport is now the second most played in it. The game was worked out in Acapulco in 1969 by a man who had a wall in the way of his tennis court and decided to keep it.
