Mexico City Airport Live Cam

Mexico City International Airport lies inside the city, hemmed in by streets on every side, and the camera looks over the apron. The feed carries sound as well as pictures.

It is one of the most awkward large airports anywhere to operate. It stands at 2,230 metres, so aircraft need longer runs and carry less; its two runways are too close together to use at the same time; and the ground beneath it, an old lakebed, is sinking by centimetres a year.

That is why a second airport was built north of the city and opened in 2022, and why a third at Toluca takes some of the load. This one is still the busiest in Latin America by passengers.
