Marathia, Zakynthos Live Cam

This live webcam looks out over Marathia on the Greek island of Zakynthos, in the Ionian Sea. Streamed by Zantecam Greece, it is set at the Marathias natural park on the southwest of the island, an area of beach and green hills.

The camera faces the protected National Marine Park of Marathonisi, also called Turtle Island, in Laganas bay. The park protects local wildlife, in particular sea turtles and the Mediterranean monk seal, one of the most endangered marine mammals. Marathonisi has sea caves and a sand beach, and turtles can be seen around it. Zakynthos is also known for its beaches, including Navagio Beach, or Shipwreck Beach, named after the wreck that lies there.
