Belišće Town, Croatia Live Cam

The main roundabout in Belišće lies below this webcam, in a small industrial town in the east of Croatia. A lorry crosses the circle below the lens, and flagpoles and a planted island stand at the centre.

The town was built from nothing at the end of the nineteenth century around a timber works, with housing, a school and a hospital laid out by the company — an early planned industrial settlement. It stands on the west bank of the Drava, which is used for angling and canoeing.

Lorry traffic through the roundabout is the constant here, feeding the works that still operate. The gardens on the circle are replanted each season.
