Clock Tower, Steinbach Live Cam

A brick clock tower marks the corner of Main Street and Reimer Avenue in Steinbach, a city southeast of Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada. The webcam looks along the street past low commercial buildings and a wide roadway.

Mennonites from the Russian Empire founded the settlement in 1874 and gave it a German name meaning stony brook. The Mennonite Heritage Village on the north edge of town preserves that period, including a working windmill that grinds flour in summer.

Steinbach has grown into one of the largest cities in Manitoba and one of the fastest growing, driven by manufacturing and a long-established car trade. The clock tower was put up as a centrepiece for the downtown block.
