Interstate 35, Waco Live Cam

Interstate 35 crosses the Brazos at Waco, in central Texas, and the webcam looks along it towards the bridges. McLane Stadium stands on the far bank.

A suspension bridge a little upstream, finished in 1870, was the first to cross the Brazos and carried cattle drives north on the Chisholm Trail. It still stands and now takes pedestrians only.

Baylor University, which owns the stadium, was chartered in 1845 and is the oldest continuously operating university in the state. The interstate runs from Laredo on the Mexican border to Duluth on Lake Superior, and this is one of its more congested stretches.
