Lazelle Street Sturgis, South Dakota Live Cam

Lazelle Street runs across this webcam view in Sturgis, a small town in western South Dakota, during the motorcycle rally. Machines are parked in rows down the middle of the street and along both kerbs, with a banner strung across the road.

The rally has been held here every August since 1938 and draws several hundred thousand riders to a town of about seven thousand people. For that week the streets in view carry bikes and nothing else; the rest of the year this is an ordinary main street with a motorcycle museum on it.

Other events fill parts of the calendar — car rallies in summer and an Oktoberfest in autumn. The overlay carries the temperature, which in rally week is regularly above thirty degrees.
