Kosino Thermal Waters Live Cam

A thermal bathing complex at Kosino, in Zakarpattia in the far west of Ukraine, steams in front of this camera. Bathers use the outdoor pools all year.

The water comes up from more than a kilometre down at about seventy degrees and is cooled before it reaches the pools. Zakarpattia sits over a belt of hot mineral water along the inner edge of the Carpathians, and a dozen spas work it.

The village is close to the Hungarian border and much of the district speaks Hungarian. The plain here is flat and warm enough for vineyards, which is unusual this far north in the country.
