Zhouzi Street, Neihu Live Cam

Zhouzi Street runs through the Neihu technology park in the east of Taipei, past office blocks and showrooms. The camera is a fisheye unit, so the picture is stretched at the edges.

Neihu was farmland and brick kilns until the 1990s, when the city zoned it for industry and the hardware and software firms moved in. Something over three thousand companies have offices in the district now, and the streets empty at the weekend.

The hills behind are still green: Taipei sits in a basin ringed by them, and Neihu backs onto Bishanyan and the Dahu lake park. The driverless metro line reaches it on an elevated viaduct.
