Seomyeon City Center, Busan Live Cam

Seomyeon is the commercial centre of Busan, at the point where the city's first two subway lines cross under the street. The camera looks down on the shopfronts and the lit installation at the junction.

Much of the district's floor space is underground: a shopping arcade runs for hundreds of metres beneath the road, joining the two stations and coming up inside the department stores at either end.

Busan is the second city of South Korea and its largest port, spread along a coast of steep hills that pushed the centre into a few flat valleys like this one. The signs stay lit late, and the area is one of the busiest places in the country after midnight.
