Rubinstein Street Live Cam

Rubinstein Street runs away from this webcam, a short street in the historic centre of Saint Petersburg, Russia. Nineteenth-century apartment blocks line both sides, and the street runs from the five-way junction towards Nevsky Prospekt.

The street holds the highest concentration of bars and restaurants in the city — more than fifty in a few hundred metres — which has made it both a destination and a running argument between the trade and the residents above it. The Tolstoy House, a huge courtyard block from 1912, stands partway along it.

Quiet in the morning, the street fills from the evening onwards and stays loud until the small hours. Snow clearing is what the frame mostly shows in winter.
