Prospekt Prosveshcheniya Live Cam

The junction of Prospekt Prosveshcheniya and Ulitsa Khoshimina lies below this view, in the north of Saint Petersburg. A bus crosses below the lens, and long panel blocks and a shopping centre stand along both sides of the avenue.

This is one of the sleeping districts built in the 1970s and 1980s well outside the historic centre, laid out around wide avenues and served by the metro station of the same name. Nothing here is older than the district itself.

Traffic peaks twice a day and the junction is busy with buses feeding the metro. The other Saint Petersburg cameras in the catalogue all sit in the old centre; this one shows the city most of its residents actually live in.
