Radom, city view, Poland Live Cam

Radom is a city of about two hundred thousand in the middle of Poland, and the webcam turns over its roofs from a tower block. The cathedral towers stand out to one side.

The town has a place in the country's political history. In June 1976 workers here walked out over food price rises and were beaten and sacked for it, and the committee formed to defend them became the seed of the opposition that produced Solidarity four years later.

Radom built rifles and typewriters and now builds neither in the quantities it once did. The military airfield on the edge of town hosts an air show every other summer that is the largest in Poland.
