Lillestrøm City Live Cam

Lillestrøm lies on flat land twenty kilometres east of Oslo, where the Nitelva and the Leira come together. The webcam looks over the roundabout and the bus station from the municipal building.

The town was built on timber. Logs were floated down the Glomma and cut in sawmills here from the 1860s, and the place grew around them; the last of the mills closed within living memory.

It is now mainly a railway junction: trains to the airport, to Sweden and to the north all pass through, and the run into Oslo takes about ten minutes. The exhibition halls beside the station take the largest trade fairs in the country.
