Yatsuse River at Kita-Fukurozawa, Ogasawara Live Cam

This camera watches the Yatsuse River at Kita-Fukurozawa on Chichijima, where a calm channel runs between a wooded hill and a stone-paved bank. A large broad-leaved tree spreads over the right of the frame.

Chichijima is the main inhabited island of the Ogasawara Islands, which belong to Tokyo although they lie about 1,000 km south of the city centre in the Pacific. The camera stands in the Kita-Fukurozawa area on the island, and Tokoyo Falls is only about 400 m away. The Ogasawara Islands were inscribed as a natural World Heritage Site in 2011.

The camera looks along the channel from the paved bank, with a low concrete edge beside the flagstones on the right and a lawn at the lower right. The channel bends away between steep slopes, and a fence and a second low wall line the far bank beneath green hills.
