The crossing at the head of Sunshine 60 Street lies below this webcam in Ikebukuro, Toshima ward, Tokyo. Shoppers cross in every direction below the lens, and screens and signboards cover the buildings on the corner.

The street runs about 200 metres east from the station towards the Sunshine 60 tower, which holds an aquarium and an observation floor, and it is lined with game arcades, cinemas and shops the whole way. Ikebukuro station itself is one of the busiest interchanges in the world.

Hoardings around building work appear and disappear in this frame from year to year. The crossing is busiest in the evening, when the crowd leaving the station fills the whole width of it.
