Lottery Masumi, Hamamatsu Live Cam

The camera looks down on the Itayamachi crossing in the middle of Hamamatsu, in Shizuoka prefecture in Japan. A lottery kiosk on the corner houses it.

This is the town that makes the instruments. Yamaha, Kawai and Roland were all founded here, and between them they account for a large share of the world's pianos, organs and synthesisers; the trade began when a local repairer fixed an imported organ in 1887 and decided to copy it.

Motorcycles came out of the same workshops. Honda and Suzuki both started in Hamamatsu, and the city still runs on engineering rather than on anything visitors come for.
