Campiello Marinoni, Venice Live Cam

Campiello Marinoni is a small square beside the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and this view covers it end to end. Tables under umbrellas stand along the right-hand wall, and a delivery trolley is usually parked in the narrow passage.

The eastern façade of the opera house closes the far side of the square, and the hotel that runs the camera stands opposite, with its restaurant on the ground floor. Everything in Venice arrives on foot or by boat, so the crates and hand carts that cross the frame each morning are how the whole quarter is supplied.

The stream carries music recorded by a Venice ensemble rather than street sound. The square is quiet during the day and fills briefly before performances, when people cross it on the way to the theatre entrance.
