Poros Island, Greece Live Cam

A channel about 200 metres wide separates Poros from the mainland town of Galatas, which fills the far shore of this live view. Boats cross between the two through the day.

The waterfront of Poros runs along the bottom of the frame, with ferries, water taxis and fishing boats working from it. Lemon groves cover the slopes behind Galatas, an old plantation district that still supplies the Athens market.

Poros lies in the Saronic Gulf and belongs administratively to Attica, about an hour from Piraeus by fast ferry. The clock tower of 1927 stands on the hill above the town, and the camera looks across the harbour from the same side.
