Miami, Florida Traffic Live Cam

This is a menu of traffic cameras rather than a single view, cutting between motorways around Miami-Dade County. Interstate 95, the airport expressway and the causeways all appear in turn.

The county holds almost three million people along a strip between the Everglades and the sea, so everything moves on a handful of roads. The expressway network was built through the 1960s and has been widened repeatedly since.

Miami has no ring road because there is nowhere to put one: wetlands are protected to the west and the ocean is to the east. Water lies close under the whole area, which is also why the roads and causeways sit so low.
