Emerald Beach North Pool, Florida Live Cam

The north pool at the Emerald Beach Resort lies below this webcam in Panama City Beach, on the Florida panhandle. Palms and rows of loungers surround the water, and the condominium towers of the resort stand behind them.

This part of the coast has some forty kilometres of quartz sand, white and fine enough to squeak underfoot, along calm Gulf water. Artificial reefs offshore are used by divers, and the strip behind the beach carries amusement parks and outlet shopping.

Spring break and the summer months fill the pool deck; between them it is close to empty. The Gulf hurricane season runs from June to November and shows here as days of cloud and wind.
