Pracha Songkhro Soi 2 is a side street in the Din Daeng district of Bangkok, lined with shophouses and parked motorbikes. The camera looks down the lane from a bracket on a first floor.

Din Daeng means red earth, after the colour of the ground here before it was built over. The district holds the oldest public housing blocks in Bangkok, put up in the 1960s and now being replaced tower by tower.

The expressway interchange a few streets north is the busiest in the city and the reason this district is named in traffic reports every morning. Lanes like this one carry the overflow, which is why the motorbikes outnumber the cars.
