This view follows a wide avenue in Vigo where Travesía de Vigo meets Avenida do Alcalde Gregorio Espino. Traffic lights, zebra crossings and parked vans line a street divided by a strip of palm trees.

Vigo is the largest city in Galicia and a port on the Atlantic coast of north-western Spain. Avenida do Alcalde Gregorio Espino and Travesía de Vigo are everyday city streets, and Rúa Jenaro de la Fuente lies a short way to the east. Multi-storey apartment blocks stand on both sides of the roadway.

The camera sits high above the junction and looks along the avenue, with the palm-lined median, the crossing in the middle distance and a green bike lane along the left side in view. Light changes the picture most: afternoon shadows fall across the roadway, and in the evening the distant facades catch the low sun.
