Uspensky Cathedral Live Cam

The Dormition Cathedral stands on a square above the Amur at Khabarovsk, in the far eastern corner of Russia. The camera looks across at its blue domes and the buildings behind.

What is there now is a reconstruction. The original cathedral, finished in 1886, was pulled down in 1930, and a park stood on the site for seventy years; the present building went up in 2001 and 2002 to a new design on the old ground.

The square in front runs to the edge of the bluff, and the river below it is a kilometre and a half wide. Beyond the far bank the flood plain runs on for tens of kilometres before any hills.
