Vassfjellet Winter Park, Norway Live Cam

Floodlights pick out the pistes at Vassfjellet Vinterpark, the alpine hill closest to Trondheim, twenty kilometres south of the city. The camera turns slowly across the slope from the top of the lift line.

The hill works twelve runs and seven lifts under a summit of about 700 metres, with a vertical drop nearer 300. Most of the season is skied under lights: in December the sun clears the ridge for barely four hours.

The area belonged to Klæbu until that municipality was merged into Trondheim at the start of 2020. Melhus lies in the valley on the other side, and the E6 runs below the hill on its way south to Oppdal.
