A4 Den Hoorn, Netherlands Live Cam

Traffic on the A4 motorway runs below this webcam at Den Hoorn, with the N211 flyover crossing the carriageways in the middle distance. Ponds and reed beds fill the ground between the lanes.

This section of the A4 through Midden-Delfland opened in December 2015 after decades of objections. It was built into a trench and roofed over where it passes the meadows, so the motorway sits below the level of the fields.

Den Hoorn has about 8,500 residents and borders Delft on three sides, in the province of South Holland. Greenhouse roofs and cranes on the horizon mark the Westland, the largest concentration of glasshouse growing in Europe; the stream is provided by westlanders.nu.
