Nakajima-Koen Station is a stop on the Namboku Line, a short ride south of Susukino. The park beside it is one of the largest green spaces in central Sapporo and holds Hoheikan, a Western-style guesthouse built in 1880, the Kitara concert hall and a large pond.

The view takes in the corner where the city blocks meet the park: cars heading for Sapporo Station and Toyohira, people walking to the green-roofed station entrance and ginkgo trees along the park edge that turn yellow in autumn.
