Isla Bella Resort, Marathon Key Live Cam

A resort at Marathon takes up the view, with pools and palms between the buildings and the water in the Florida Keys. The camera turns over the grounds and the sea.

Marathon runs a hospital for sea turtles a couple of kilometres from here, in a converted motel with saltwater tanks in the old swimming pool. It treats several dozen animals a year, mostly hit by boats or tangled in line, and releases what it can.

The town is the working middle of the Keys, with the airport, the boatyards and the schools. The name is said to come from railway crews in 1906 complaining that building the line out here had turned into one.
