Varna City Live Cam

Varna is the largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and the main port of the country, with about three hundred thousand people. The camera looks over a junction on one of the central avenues.

A cemetery dug up on the edge of the city in 1972 produced the oldest worked gold anywhere: graves from around 4,500 BC holding more of it than every other site of that age put together. The finds are in the archaeological museum a few streets from this junction.

The Sea Garden along the shore is the largest park of its kind on the coast, laid out from the 1880s. Varna is a working port as well as a resort, and the shipyards are on the lakes behind the city.
