Wolsztyn, Poland

Wolsztyn is a small town in western Greater Poland, set between two lakes. It is known far beyond the region for its steam locomotive depot, where working engines are still kept, and for the Steam Locomotive Parade that brings historic trains here from Poland and abroad. In the 1870s Robert Koch worked here as a district physician, and it was in Wolsztyn that he carried out his research on anthrax.
