41st Street Sioux Falls, SD Live Cam

The junction of 41st Street and Louise Avenue is the busiest in Sioux Falls, in the south-east corner of South Dakota. The camera looks along the traffic from above.

The city grew on meatpacking and then on banking. In 1981 the state removed its cap on interest rates and invited the credit card industry in; a large New York bank moved its card operation here within months and others followed, and the back offices are still among the biggest employers.

This street is where the retail went. The strip either side of the junction is the commercial centre of a city that has roughly doubled in population since that change.
