Dordrecht 3 River Point, South Holland Live Cam

A Waterbus ferry crosses the river in front of Dordrecht, at the point where three waterways meet in South Holland. The webcam stands by the Groothoofdspoort, the old city gate on the tip of the island.

The Oude Maas, the Beneden Merwede and the Noord come together here, and the junction carries more inland shipping than any other in Europe. Push-tows, coasters and ferries pass in a continuous sequence.

Zwijndrecht lies across the water to the left, with its listed water tower, and Papendrecht to the right beyond the Noord. Dordrecht itself is the oldest city in Holland, chartered in 1220, and sits on an island formed by the rivers in view.
