Munggi Crossroads West View, Semanu Live Cam

The west-side view of the Munggi crossroads in Semanu, Gunungkidul, where a wide road forks around a small island with billboards. Motorbikes and cars drive along the right-hand carriageway while the left branch curves away past roadside kiosks.

Local reports call this junction Simpang Empat Munggi Pasar, after the nearby cattle market, Pasar Sapi Munggi. Semanu is a rural district of Gunungkidul in the hills south-east of Yogyakarta, and the junction joins roads from Karangmojo and from the district centre.

The camera looks across the junction from a raised corner, with leafy branches framing the left edge. On the island stand large advertising boards, one for a building-materials store, and a transmission tower rises behind low houses and trees. Frames taken minutes apart show the same view.
