Live Cams in Tainan

Tainan, Taiwan

Tainan is a special municipality on the southwestern coast of Taiwan with about 1.85 million residents and the oldest city on the island. It grew up around Fort Zeelandia, built by the Dutch in the 1620s, and remained the capital of Taiwan until 1887. The old town is full of historic temples, among them the Confucius Temple of 1665, the first in Taiwan. Tainan is famous for its street food, mangoes and milkfish, and Taijiang National Park on its coast protects wetlands where black-faced spoonbills spend the winter.
