It is connected to the capital on the mainland via the Russky Bridge, the world's second-longest cable-stayed bridge, and the longest main span with a length of 1,104 metres (3,622 feet). The scenic island is a significant business and education hub and is well known for its excellent beaches, coves, and old military forts.
