Ngau Tau Kok, Hong Kong Live Cam

Kwun Tong Road runs below the webcam at Ngau Tau Kok, with the railway viaduct on one side and housing blocks stacked up the slope on the other. This is east Kowloon, on the mainland side of Hong Kong.

Kwun Tong was the territory's first planned industrial district, laid out in the 1950s on land reclaimed from the harbour, with factories on the flat ground and public housing above for the people who worked in them.

Most of the factories have gone. The government has spent fifteen years turning the district into offices, and the older estates have been pulled down and rebuilt taller. The trains crossing the viaduct work the Kwun Tong line, the oldest on the network.
