Live Cams in Basel-Landschaft

Basel-Landschaft is a canton in northwestern Switzerland bordering France and Germany; its capital is Liestal and it has just over 300,000 residents. It came into being in 1833, when the countryside broke away from the city of Basel after an armed conflict, and the two have been separate cantons ever since. Suburbs of Basel fill the north of the canton, while the Jura valleys further south are known for their cherry orchards. At Augst on the Rhine lie the ruins of the Roman town of Augusta Raurica with its ancient theatre.
