Međimurje County (Međimurska županija) is the northernmost county of Croatia, bordering the countries of Hungary (east) and Slovenia (northwest), and whose administrative centre is the city of Čakovec.In the towns and villages near the Mura River, in the northern part of the county, there are numerous sites offering recreational activities in nature and sports.
